New Year's Eve Bring & Share Lunch Saturday 31st December 2022 11.30am

It's back! See in the New Year as it happens on the other side of the world at our (once upon a time) annual New Year lunch. Free event for Cusopians and their friends and families and also to friends of the village hall . Wine and soft drinks will be provided. Please bring a  plate per person to share.

Saturday 7th March 2020 Pop Quiz in aid of Dial-a-Ride 7.30pm

Join us for a fun evening of questions from the pop music charts of the 60's, 70's and 80's. Bring your own team (up to 5 members) or join a team on the night. £5 per person to include tea/coffee/home made cakes in the interval, and with the winning team having their entry fees refunded.BYO wine/beer etc. There will be a raffle and all profits from the night will go to Dial-a-Ride. Saturday 21st December 2019 Poetry, Prose and Pudding 7.30pm

Another of our hugely popular storytelling evenings.There will be a glass of mulled wine to welcome you, with mince pies and Christmas pudding to enjoy in the interval, followed by tea/coffee and mints.£5 per person. Please feel free to bring your own drinks. Booking is essential for this event so please contact Alison on 820152 as soon as possible to be sure of a place.

 

Sunday 11th August 2019 Cusop Day Annual BBQ 1.00pm-3.30pm

Residents of Cusop and friends of the village hall are invited to get together for a sociable afternoon at our annual summer BBQ. We will be selling hot dogs & burgers(veg option available) for £3.00 each and will also offer a free glass of Pimms. Wine and soft drinks also available( or BYO).If you would like to bring a salad or dessert to share that would be great!  Ring Jim on 820705 or Sandra on 820125 for further details.

Join us for a circular walk of approx. 5 miles commencing and finishing at the Village Hall . £5 per person to include lunch. Numbers limited so please ring Sandra on 820125 to reserve a place.

The always popular quiz and puzzle night is back! Come as a team of up to 5 persons or join a team on the night. Refreshments available but you might like to bring a bottle. Walk and Lunch Sunday 22nd October 2017 10.00am

Join us for a circular walk of approx. 5 miles commencing and finishing at the village hall. The route is easy/moderate but does involve some steep uphill sections and several stiles. The walk will be followed by a light lunch which is included in the cost of £3.00. Numbers are limited so booking is essential. To reserve your place ring Sandra on 820125 or Jim on 820705

Learn how to prune apple and pear trees at the ideal time of year and see the results of the 'cut backs' of previous years. This is a free event. The workshop should last approx. 1.5 hrs. All welcome! Bring secateurs if you have them. Please ring Jim on 820705 to give an idea of numbers and to check for possible postponement.

Christmas Storytelling Friday 23rd December 7.30pm

Another of our hugely popular storytelling evenings.As usual we will be in the capable hands of local raconteur Phil Smith and there will be a glass of mulled wine to welcome you with mince pies and Christmas pudding to enjoy during the interval, followed by tea/coffee and mints, (as always you are welcome to bring your own drinks) Please book early to avoid disappointment. Practical foraging Sunday 9th October at 2.00pm

Local author,foraging and hedgerow enthusiast Adele Nozedar will be giving a talk and providing practical advice on how to use locally available wild produce.The talk will be followed by a short walk to see which plants we can forage in the local area.Refreshments will be included in the price of £8.00. The Queen's 90th Birthday Celebration Dunday 12th June 3.00pm

Why not join us for a cream tea and a glass of bubbly to mark the Queen's 90th birthday? Red,white & blue or 'royal' theme (optional),with prizes for the best 'turned out' adult and child. Polish those tiaras and come along for a fun afternoon. Free event for Cusop residents and friends of the village hall.

Cusop Walk Sunday 17th April 2016

Starting at 10.00am at the village hall a circular walk of approximately 5 miles (moderate) followed by a light lunch for which there will be a charge of £4 per person. The route will take us up  towards Hay Bluff via Cusop Dingle,  returning on the Offa's Dyke path  past Tack Wood down to Hay. Another of our hugely popular storytelling evenings. As always we will be in the capable hands of local raconteur Phil Smith and the Village Hall Events Committee. There will a glass of mulled wine to welcome you and Christmas pudding and mince pies will be served during the interval followed by coffee/tea and mints. Cusop Walk Sunday 25th October 2015

Circular walk of approx 5 miles starting at the village hall and followed by a light lunch for which there will be a small charge of £2.50 per person. The route will take us through the old golf course towards Clifford and will return via Mousecastle Wood. Although the route is moderate it does encounter a few stiles and some uphill walking. Numbers will be limited and booking is essential so please ring Sandra on 820125 or Jim on 820705 to reserve your place
